She was unaware that she was being watched. She was taught young that humans were the worst creatures to walk the earth and many of her ancestors died at the hands of humans. She was curious though and the more she watched them sitting around the fire telling stories, the more she wanted to be like them and interact with them.
Just for a minute, she thought, checked behind her, and seconds later, the grey wolf turned into a girl with messy brown hair, large brown eyes, and snow white skin. She smoothed her hair and walked toward the clearing.
Snap! The woman on the log bolted up and looked in her direction, hand flew to the blade sitting beside her.
Frightened, she quickly darted behind a bush. Just then, a voice echoed in her head. What are you doing? She jumped and looked behind her. A brown wolf stood before her, angry look on his face.
I’m sorry. I just want to know. She quickly apologized to her brother.
Do you want to be banish? She quickly shook her head. Turn back now. He snarled.
She sighed, nodded, and once again transformed into a wolf. She followed him home. Another time. She thought secretly and never looked back.
Each week, Mondays Finish the Story challenges our minds by providing with a picture along with the first sentence for us to finish the flash fiction with 100 -150 words based on the picture above. Beautiful creature except was being taught wrong by her pack.
Excellent! I could feel the want of your character with the line: “Just for a minute.” Then at the close…”Another time.” Again, excellent! Thank you for taking part, and see you next week? Hope so! Be well! ^..^

Definitely best to steer clear of the humans I reckon, though I think she’ll probably try again. Great story!

She seemed curious enough. I think she will try again too. Thanks for reading.

I definitely think she’ll be trying again! I could see some sort of Little Mermaid type story happening here… 🙂

Maybe she’ll learn to interact with a human and fall in love maybe?

Good story and well done. I could also see at bit of The Little Mermaid in this. As I remember, that didn’t turn out well either. She better be very careful. 🙂 — Suzanne
