“Diamond Jack had his hideout next to the Rattle Snake River. That’s the last I heard.”

Gregory rested his radio on the grass and brought the binoculars against his eyes. “Can you see anything?” He asked. Johan shook his head, even with his x-ray vision, he couldn’t see far.

It’s been about five years since Lena and Elaine left him at Yosemite National Park and since then he had been maturing rapidly. A year ago, while roaming the woods for food, he discovered Gregory bleeding, hurt, and unconscious. Johan saved him and had been by Gregory’s side since then.

Gregory brought the radio to his lips. “There’s nothing over here, Sam.” He waited for a few seconds for Sam to respond but there was only statics. “Sam?”

“Why, hello there.” Gregory and Johan jumped and turned around. A familiar stranger stood before them.

Gregory was sure it was him, he’d seen the posters and pictures. His mouth suddenly felt dry. Diamond Jack?
