When it came to a challenge, Jim Smiley just had to jump right in! Yep, that’s my frog. I sure hope you don’t think I’m talking about the character, Jim Smiley, from Mark Twain’s story. Of course both of them are similar in their own ways.
In two weeks, I’ll be heading to Camp Wonderworld again and this time, Jim’s coming with me. Together, we are going to have so much fun and there’s even going to be a pet challenge – I hear it’s a frog jumping contest, shh. I can’t wait to show everyone how far Jim can jump.
To prepare for camp, I decide to give Jim a day off and go with daddy to buy some camping gear. As we approached the exit for Angels Camp, I asked him to get off. I want to show Jim something, I say. With him in my hand, I ran to the sign and pointed. “See, Jimmy, if you practice, you can beat the record.”
Each week, Mondays Finish the Story challenges our minds by providing with a picture along with the first sentence for us to finish the flash fiction with 100 -150 words based on the picture above. Right on the dot again. 🙂
Such a good story Yinglan! Thank you again for participating in the MFtS challenge! See you next week! Be well… ^..^

Nice humour in this one, Yinglan. I love your frog! Clever reference to Mark Twain, too. 🙂

It’s nice that Jim not only got a day off from training, he was given a bit of encouragement as well. I have high hopes for him in the competition!

Everyone needs a day off now and then even a frog. With his day off, hopefully in camp, he’ll kick some butts in the competition. 😉
