“After losing her head, she realized that the rest of her body was falling apart!” Patti covered her mouth and gasped as Angela told her the story of her teething daughter, Josie’s sudden broken doll.
“Wait wait, tell it again from the beginning.” Patti demanded.
“I didn’t know what happened at first. It was the middle of the night and out of nowhere, I heard this loud wail coming from beside me.”
Patti clicked her tongue. “Poor thing. Then what?”
“So I went to her room and there she was, standing up in her crib balling her eyes out. At first, I didn’t know what was going on but then I saw barbie on the floor, its arms unattached from its body.”
“So Josie tore apart the doll?” Patti asked.
“No!” Angela shrieked. “Thank god! She dropped the doll earlier this week and something came loose. She dropped it again that night and just ka-boomed.”
Patti sighed with relief. “I’d be terrified.”
“You?! What about me?”
