2015-05-18-bw-beacham1Continue from last week’s story

The crew of the Angel Flame received orders to head out. Captain John Humphrey saluted Jesse Benjamin. “You are to find this kid, no matter what it takes.” General Benjamin ordered.

“Sir yes sir!”

Two days later…

“Sir,” Private Scott Jameson reported, “the scope has discovered something metallic.”

“Reel it in.”

“Sir yes sir.”

It was part of a rocket. If the rocket is here, then where is the ship? “Keep searching for the ship.” Captain Humphrey ordered. “The kid has got to be here somewhere.” He mumbled as he headed back to his office. This Amari fellow must be desperate to search his kid like this but if he wanted the kid so much, then why did he abandon him in the first place?

Two more days later…

The crew still hadn’t found anything. Perhaps the ship landed elsewhere, Captain Humphrey thought. Feeling resigned, he opened the latch, climb out of the submarine, and stared at the vast ocean.
