Monday’s Finish the Story: The Idea

Jeanie turns to her brother, Donald, “What the hell are you talking about?”

“It’s gonna be a line in my novel.”

Jeanie arches her brow and scoffs, “Novel?”

“Is that so surprising?”

“Yes, you writing anything is beyond surprising.”

Donald shrugs, “I don’t know, must be Paris. I think the vibe rubbing off on me.”

“We’ve only been here for a week!”

“Well, a week is a long time.” Donald looks up at the Eiffel Tower and sighs.

“So, what will your ‘novel’ be about?”

Donald shrugs and answers quickly, “I don’t know yet, maybe a teen romance? A boy and girl visit Paris and falls in love.”

The idea makes Jeanie vomit because it makes her think of she and her brother, visiting Paris alone. She quietly blanches as a weird and gross thought enters her mind. If Donald and I aren’t brother and sister, will it mean…
