“What the hell are you doing? Get down from there!” James demanded, slowly inching forward.
Body shivering, Bea shook her head. “Can’t you see, James, I have no other option.” Unconsciously, she took a small step to her left, an inch closer to the water. “They will find me sooner or later.”
“Didn’t we vowed to protect each other?” James pointed out.
“It doesn’t matter. Sooner or later, they will get to me, then it won’t matter whether or not you’re there. They’ll just kill you. You can’t protect me.” Bea turned and stared at the blue green water below. Her hands trembled at her sides. “That’s why I have to do it.” She muttered, “to protect you.” She leaped forward just as a high caliber bullet penetrated her back.
“Bea!” James’s eyes widened as Bea fell. Immediately, he dove after her and fished her out before she hit the bottom. “Bea?” Resting in his arm, she looked like a princess in an eternal slumber. That bullet took her life the moment it hit her.

Thank you. I don’t think they done anything bad, just had some disagreement over principles and perhaps some bad luck.
