I Made It!

I made it! In a week, classes will be over and in two weeks, I will be walking across the stage and graduating with my second undergraduate degree. It’s exciting times.

November had been quite uneventful even with the Thanksgiving holiday. The rash on my face is nowhere near to being resolved though it is much better than over the summer but even with the extensive lab work, the doctors still couldn’t be conclusive of what is the matter with me. They want to say it’s lupus but at the same time, they are telling me they’re not sure. Boy, is that frustrating!

Oh, I did start a podcast – almost forgot about that – and I am looking forward to doing more episodes with more exploration with music and sound effects. I am looking forward to improving my podcasts to make it sound like theater for the ears and I am looking forward to fulfill one of my childhood dreams of acting (like no one’s watching).

The pictures show the aftermath of the recent snow storm. I snapped both of them yesterday at school. We had two snow storms in the month of November and we are on the verge of having the third storm tonight and tomorrow. I have to admit, the scenery is beautiful but it’s only beautiful to me as long as there’s no ice on the ground.

What more can I say about November? I got through it and I will be looking forward to wrapping up 2016. It’s been a tough year with plenty of good and awful memories that may never fade. I am grateful for the friends I have made on WordPress who lifted me up when I felt down and all the loyal readers who read and enjoyed my fictions as well as provided me with the feedback to improve.

To conclude – I am optimistic about 2017 because I know it will get better.

  1. Congrats Yinglan! Good for you! Two four year degrees, I think by the end of my first one, I was done! I hope you get the jobs you want now and I love the picture you chose to symbolize your feeling of relief and pride.

  2. Congratulations!! That is quite an accomplishment! I hope that the rash on your face will mysteriously disappear because it was only caused by stress and your stress is about to end! The photos are beautiful.

    1. Thank you. I’m not crazy about shoveling either. I’m relieved I’m finally finished with school. The rash was indeed lupus but I’m glad it’s temporarily resolved.
