Teri could hear the twigs snapping beneath the soles of her shoes as she ran through the woods.

This wasn’t her usual morning jogging route. She was following someone, a mysterious someone, the new boy at school. Ever since they’d bumped into each other on the first day of school, she had been having a weird vibe about him and was determined to find out.

Quickly, she hid behind a tree as he stopped, looked around before jumping through the hole among the branches. The moment he’s out of sight, she ran to the hole and peeked. He was gone.
