Dear Diary,
It’s another day at work. Another day where I will stare out the window pretending to be deep in thought. Another day where I will spend the majority of the ferry ride writing and wondering.
I wonder if she’s as lonely without me as I am right now without her. Or is she on a beach somewhere soaking up the sun as I sit here in my car waiting for the rain to stop.
Sometimes, I wonder, will this rain ever stop? Or is the rain a symbol of the pain I’m feeling?
That’s all for now,
Sam

This is so sad and such a realistic thing to be doing. Missing the person you love in the regular daily activities. Great writing!

I feel for him. I bet there a few diaries out there that have similar entries in this world.

I feel bad for him for getting his heart broken.

No, I don’t think they’re still in a relationship. I think he’s just dealing with a broken heart.

How sad. No happy ending here, I’m thinking.

No, I don’t think so either.

Nice take on the prompt. The monotony of every day life is so much worse when you’re away from the one you love

A broken heart is so much worse in unrelenting rain. Well done. :o)

Rain does make one feel even more pain, doesn’t it?

It generally does. Rain sucks.

Sad, melancholy, almost too real. Enjoyed the read. 🙂
