“I wanna be a castaway
And leave the world behind
Take a tropic holiday
Say goodbye to keeping time
Wasting away down by the coast
Pacifico and chasing lime
Easy living down in paradise”
He mumbled the lyrics with his eyes closed and grinned. His wish had come true. He’s a castaway in a place where the water’s so clear and blue he could see his reflection. However, there was one thing he didn’t understand. Why did she had to come along?
He opened his eyes and grimaced at his sister who’s lying on the sand next to him. He had purposely taken a raft the day before, with a clear mindset of abandoning his parents’ yacht. Then moments after he jumped ship onto the raft, he heard a noise. He looked back and saw his sister doing the same thing. “What the hell are you doing?” He shouted as the waves carried him away.
“Get back here!” His sister returned a shout but he ignored her.
Now, her sister’s eyes were slowly opening. Ugh!

That’s the thing about little sisters…they always have to tag along! Hahaha! She’s coming back to life to the horror of her brother! Cute story, Yinglan!

Yep! I have a feeling he won’t have a good time on his castaway adventure. 😀

Nice at least she has company on the castaway island

The company, however, may not be pleasant for him. 😀 Thank you for reading.

As someone with a little sister who used to be the world’s greatest detective (take a hike, Batman) I totally feel for your protagonist 😀 But after couple of decades, she is one of my best friends. So there’s always hope for the guy. Good one, Yinglan. Brought me some memories back.

I’m glad to hear that. I’m the only child, so it often takes some imagination to write stories involving siblings.

Younger sisters (brothers) tag along as PJ says. That’s what they do but I think she’s just looking out for her brother. I’m guessing she’s pretty keenly aware something is up with him and although he doesn’t think so, he needs her help. Making him see this will be another matter all altogether.

I agree, when he wants to get off this island, he will need her help no matter how much he dislikes her for following him and that’s when she’ll make him see how much he needs help.
