Friday Fictioneers: The Murderer’s Trophies

The detectives walked through the house in disgust. They’re investigating the prime suspect of a murder case. Detective Bear took a peek at the vases by the window. “Oh would you look at that,” he said, “this sicko likes to collect the ashes of his victims.”

Detective Keith crossed the room and peeked into the vase, “We should take a sample of each to find out who else this psycho has killed.”

His partner nodded and looked around the room. “I can’t describe it but there’s something unsettling about this case.”

“How so?”

“I’ll tell you back at the station.”
