“Ahem, what the hell are you doing?” Sasha asked.
“Taking a selfie, duh.” Josh answered. Sasha snatched the phone just as he pressed the button. “Sis, come on. You messed up my selfie.” Josh whined.
“Well, you shouldn’t be taking one especially when you’re driving. You’ll get us pulled over and give me that cat.” She grabbed Mr. Whiskers from Josh’s lap. “Now the light turned green. Drive.” She said firmly.
Josh sighed and eased his foot off the brake and onto the gas. “You know, sis, just because we lost mom to another man doesn’t mean you automatically have to become mom.”
“Well, someone must take responsibilities around here. Between you and dad, I’m probably the most mature one in the family. Turn left at the next light.”
“Hey, I can be mature.” Josh replied defensively as he eased the car into the left lane.
“Oh yeah, like taking a selfie with the cat in the driver’s seat to brag to everyone you’re driving? Very mature. Oh, I’m driving us back by the way.”
