Friday Fictioneers: Late!

Heart pounding, Taylor focused on the constant thumping of her feet hitting the ground as she sprinted two blocks to her boxing class. I cannot believe that little booger shut off my alarm! The thought of her brother standing in her room made her furious. Can’t believe it! Can’t believe it! She screamed over and over in her head as she turned the corner.

“That girl is late!” Coach Lopez tapped his foot impatiently while looking at the clock. Suddenly, there was a loud thud outside. He stepped outside and found Taylor on the ground. “Sorry I’m late, Coach.”

  1. You can count on the younger sibling to screw things up. In our house, it’s the pups who are now teenagers and busy chewing through everything. I could see one of them chewing through the cord of the alarm clock.
    Best wishes,
