Shortly after midnight, a frantic call to the police was placed. “He’s here! T-the fugitive from the news. I-I see him.”
Within minutes, local and federal police stormed the compound. “Let’s check that camera feed again,” The lead federal agent pointed at the camera at the side of the building. He suggested the local police to continue searching the perimeter while he and his agents search the inside. “Where did you see him?” The lead agent asked when he entered the control room.
With trembling fingers, she pointed at the lower left screen. The lead agent pushed her aside and sat down in her chair. He quickly glanced at the control panel before running his fingers across the buttons. “Um, excuse me, do you know how to work that?” She asked, concerned.
He raised a finger, silencing her. As the agent messed with the control panel, she quietly slipped out of the room. After passing two agents, she slipped into stairwell and descended two levels to the parking garage. “Is it clear?” The fugitive asked.
