
“Tell me how you find these again?” Jen asked.
“Um…” Daisy stalled. “I found it on my doorstep when I got home.”
“Ooh, I wonder who they are from.” There’s a gleam in Jen’s eyes.
“Um… I… I don’t know.” Deep in her heart, Daisy had suspicions but she refused to believe it. “I don’t know, okay?” She repeated. “It’s just. It seems too good to be true. A guy leaving me fake roses? Puh-lease.”
“Why can’t you believe?”
“Because…” Daisy shrieked. “Because…” She sighed, “I guess I just won’t believe it until whoever left these present himself.”
