#WeekendCoffeeShare – Short and Sweet

Hello, welcome to another #weekendcoffeeshare!

Come on in and grab yourself a drink. I think I’ll have a cup of Hot Cocoa today.

Can you even drink, you ask?

*sigh* My surgery was a no-go this week. The doctor canceled less than 30 minutes after confirming the time for the surgery on Monday. It is now postponed to 8th of March. The delay was due to 1) the doctor felt my left side wasn’t healed enough, 2) the surgical material hasn’t arrived as the result of shipping delay, and 3) the doctor had the dates mixed up.

So this ended up to be a normal work week for me – a 47-hour work week – and for the first time in a long while, I was actually satisfied with the amount I got done. Often in previous weeks, I had felt I hadn’t made a big enough dent in my pile of work but this week, I feel I made a sizable dent. I hope I’m right in judging the size of the dent.

I think it was mostly due to my co-worker introducing me to the bulk upload method of creating invoices. Instead of creating invoices one-by-one, waiting for my computer to spin and spin to show me the options, I can now create 20 invoices in an Excel spreadsheet and upload them when it’s complete. I think it’s quicker since Excel doesn’t require the internet and not as much CPU capacity as Google Chrome.

It’s helped me a lot these past two days.

I hope my surgery won’t make me to have to cancel my photography course in March. I’ve signed up for two photography courses through my alma mater’s community education. I had so much fun last summer learning to garden through community education that I decided to pursue photography again this year.

I originally signed up for a couple of photography courses in 2020 but it got canceled because of the pandemic. This year, I’ve signed up to learn about photography composition in March and nightscape photography in April. If my oral surgery is really scheduled for March 8th, then hopefully my mouth will be healed enough for me to attend the composition class on the 15th.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this short and sweet edition of #weekendcoffeeshare, hope to chat again same time next week.
