What’s the Point?

Sometimes, I feel like I’m doing all the work in promoting and maintaining my club. “My Club”, that’s how it should be. I’ve the Vice President Membership (VPM) for the past two years but I’ve been pulling the duties of Vice President Education (VP Ed) and Vice President Public Relations (VP PR) as well. I’ve asked the others to help me with some of these roles and offered suggestion in how to promote the club but they turned down each and every one of my ideas either saying it involves too much time, not allowed, or can’t afford it.

I swear, sometimes they treat me like I’m still a child, like my opinion doesn’t matter. It’s like, ooh, we’re the grown adults, let us handle it. That’s why I stopped throwing my ideas into the hat (figuratively speaking) and just do what I want. I mean, if you don’t appreciate my ideas, then you might as well not hear them at all.

Such a shame too because I created this beautiful, (standardized) site for the club here on wordpress and no one at the club or anywhere’s going to see it since it isn’t listed anywhere but my own profile. My loyal followers, though, you can go check it out. Just click on this link! http://energizerclub2439.wordpress.com

Last night, I reorganized this site again and I can’t stop admiring it. I bet even club president will think it’s easier to use than that freetoasthost site.

In truth, I think Toastmasters (the club I joined) is a great program for those who is in need of practicing their public speaking and leadership skill. Another good thing is that it’s all over the world. You can just go onto their website and find a club near you and pop in.

I just think if you’ve been nominated for a role, you should stick to it and not make somebody else do all the work for you.

Please help just promote Toastmasters in general. You can learn more by going to the site linked up above.
Thanks for listening and have a great day! 🙂
