Giving thanks is an everyday-must and a definite-must on Thanksgiving.
I spent this Christmas Eve sitting in my car in a near-empty mall parking lot, calling the only person that would understand my situation while listening to the rain peter-patter on the roof of my car.
This is the post I’ve been trying to post for the past 30 minutes! But WordPress published another post instead. 😡 Anyway, I wrote this short story for a prompt 4 years ago and thought it would be fun to do some minor edits and re-post it. Please enjoy. Merry Christmas!
Thanksgiving 2017 began one-half day earlier for me than for most people because I took Wednesday afternoon off from work.
Merry Christmas Eve Everyone!
As I mentioned in a previous post, my aunt and I spent a night earlier this month strolling around Downtown Salt Lake, admiring the lights it’s put on for the holiday.
This Thanksgiving has been quiet for the most part.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone in the U.S!
That is a mighty big chair, I thought when I took this picture
I did not think I would have a post to submit for this week’s photo challenge but there I was, Saturday night – October 29th, two days before Halloween – walking home with my aunt from a Halloween party hosted by the local ward and we encountered a light show.
中秋节快乐!-Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
What is Father’s Day? What is this day about? Honestly, to me, it’s just another ordinary Sunday. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a proper Father’s Day even with my step-father. I guess we just never been the traditional type but then what’s true definition of traditional? In the past 15 years or so, even when…
Since Chinese New Year is coming up next Monday, for this week’s black and white challenge, I have decided to turn my pictures of this traditional Chinese Delicacy into black and white.
“Just how many Christmas parties will we go to this year?” I asked mom on Christmas Eve as we were about to leave for our 4th Christmas party of 2015.
Every year, on Thanksgiving or Christmas, I get to use the kitchen to make something no other person in my family seem to know how to make.
I would like to thank Angela from I Am My Own Island for nominating me from way back on Thanksgiving for the Grateful Blogger Award. I will have yet another award to showcase on my Wall of Achievement.
My upper body is super sore. Merry Christmas Eve, though
I feel a little sad that we’re not going to put up the tree this year. I mean, where’s the holiday spirit without a tree?
Friday night, I was at a party. It was nice and festive. There were more children than adults, the ratio of children to adult each table was about 6 to 2. In fact, our table was most likely the only table with the most adults, 6 adults and 4 children, two sat in chair while…
I can hardly believe it. Thanksgiving has come and gone this year and Christmas is coming in a month and 2016 in less than 5 weeks! This year feels like it’s just breezed by. It was just 12 weeks ago that I began school and now, I’m two weeks away from finals.
I hope everyone is enjoying your turkey and hopefully, I am as well by the time this post goes live. I have been invited by one of mom’s friends to her house for Thanksgiving meal this year. That’s why I’m writing this post early.
Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival in China. Each year, this holiday is on different days, mostly because it is based on the Lunar calendar which runs differently than the Gregorian Calendar. On this night, we feast in open air while admiring the oversize full moon.
