You ever hear someone say, “you took the risk and it paid off”? Well, I took a risk all right but it didn’t pay off. Instead, It backfired on me and cost me a relationship and a chance at a large chunk of cash.
On this throwback Thursday, we are going back 5 months, back to that fateful night, January 30, 2014. Some of you may have read the story from my previous post but if you haven’t, click here.
Why am I telling this story again?
After writing that post on Weird Chinese Dinner Table Rule and mom’s constant obsessive need to sending me back to China, possibly making me to reconcile with my grandparents after the mess I made, it made me kind of miss them again. My gut instinct is telling me that I should perhaps attempt my reconciliation again over the phone, that is if they wouldn’t hang up on me again.
However, I’m not going to tell that story here again, for the purpose of not wanting to repeat the same post so soon (at least not until 300 or 500 posts 😀 ) as well as I’m sure some of you probably have better things to do than to sit around to read a 1000+-word post. So click here and it’ll lead you right to the story (that is if you’re curious enough to find out about the mess I made). 🙂
Thanks for listening and see you back here soon.
