I watched the scene play out in my head as I focused on the picture. What a wild and preposterous plot?!

What kind of plot is that? It sounded like a scene out of Lord of the Flies. No no no, I couldn’t possibly write a story about a bunch of children stranded on a deserted island. That’s been done many times before – Peter Pan, Lord of the Flies…

Castaway? Nah, that only has one character, not enough to warrant a dance around a fire.

Also, other than the obvious plane crash and a ship crash, how do you get a group of people stranded on an island?
