Partly inspired by a TV show I’m watching…
On a sunny day, as my beloved and I meander through the woods on horseback, I like to think about how I got here.
Not long ago, in a land so close yet so far, I was a doctor. The doctor, if you ask me. I’ve become the kind of doctor that other doctors would go to for advice. Then one day, while on shift, as I was walking the corridor of the hospital, I was overcome by this splitting headache. “Are you okay, doctor?” A nurse nearby asked.
I nodded, “Just a migraine,” I muttered before continuing on my way.
I still like to wonder how I got here, to this enchanted place, with beautifully constructed stone walls and gates, woods, forests, and talking animals. Was I transported here? Or am I in a coma in my real life?
I should not had driven home this night. I should’ve taken a taxi. Who could’ve foretold that the splitting headache would cause me to swerve into incoming traffic?

A very intriguing story Yinglan. Thanks for joining in.

The dream state of an unconscious mind is an intriguing place to search for a story. I think you captured the feelings very well, good work!
