After spending almost $100 in material and tools, Lisa’s ready to begin her winter hobby of cross-stitching. Each winter, during her down time from work, Lisa likes to be engaged in a hobby. Last year, it was crochet. The year before was knitting. The year before that was sewing. So far, she’s still searching for a hobby she can see herself to continue for years to come. She would like a hobby she would like to pass on but so far, she’s discovering she gets bored rather easily.

Dumping the bags of material and tools onto the kitchen counter, Lisa sighs. “Let’s hope this is the one,” she says as she begins flipping through the pages of a book that teaches cross-stitching to beginners.
