Merry Christmas!

I think this has been an okay Christmas. Other than the fact that it’s been snowing all day and my mother’s constant nudging to make me go outside with my aunt, it’s been all right.

Last night, I watched a rerun of the 1946 movie, It’s a Wonderful Life. I didn’t watch the whole thing, I fell asleep from time to time but I stayed awake during the parts that mattered though. The movie taught me a great lesson to take everything for grant but it felt kind of exaggerated. It also left me thinking how it will affect everybody if I wasn’t born and if one’s existence really does play such an important role in so many lives like the movie’s main character, George Bailey. If he wasn’t born, his brother would had been dead when he was 9 and the town he’s been living in would be known as a different name and everyone would spend their days grip. I understood the part about his wife having a different fate but everything else just seemed a little exaggerated.

I wrote a little bit between eventually going to bed at ’round 11:30. Then something woke me up at 6:30 this morning. I think it was a dream but I’m not sure. I did a quick check on my tablet, you know, the usual, notification on my blogs, emails, and my games. Then I went back to bed and didn’t wake up again at about 8:30.

I opened the browser on my tablet to wordpress and was kind of surprised there was a prompt today. I thought maybe there would be no prompt on holidays but then again, there had been one on Thanksgiving.

Doesn’t this look delish?

I had a slice of the cake I made yesterday for breakfast. It’s a banana nut cake with chocolate chip strudel. It’s incredibly moist and delicious. I think I’m going to put a banana in my future muffins. Apparently no one else thought so because she stayed away after one slice. After that, I watched the annual concert on TV during which I wrote part of the post, not this one but the one for the prompt.

To be honest, I was planning on writing just a super short story but my imagination thought otherwise. It led me to write a 1000+ short story. And you know what, it’s probably the first story I’ve done with a happy ending.

Some homemade wontons, Chinese melons, meatballs, and meat, that makes a wonderful hot pot.

Unfortunately, the wonderful hot pot and my slow writing delayed me and I didn’t finish the story until a short time ago. Oh and let’s not mention I had to go outside to take pictures of my mother and aunt. It’s one of those things.

It’s still snowing and I think it’s going to be a boring night with the lack of television programs to watch. Right now, my mother and aunt are downstairs laughing away to a movie I’ve seen just about a thousand times. I think I’m enjoying writing than watching that movie.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
