All the pictures in this post were shot with my new phone – Galaxy s23 – using pro mode, meaning I can get both the RAW and the JPG version of the image, and then the images were imported into Lightroom to edit. You know when someone say, “I don’t wake up in the morning looking this way.” Well, these pictures were the same way.

Whether it was with my previous phone – Galaxy s10e – or this phone, I have never been impressed with pictures taken with a phone. As good as they are, I don’t feel they can ever replace the DSLR camera. Still, I like to experiment and I think these turned out pretty good, that is if they are viewed from a distance. I wouldn’t view them up close, it will just disappoint.

Last Sunday was very foggy. I kept waiting for the fog to dissipate so I could go return a cracked poster frame but the fog just kept getting denser. So I decided to take advantage of the bad weather and head to the park.

I’ve taken photos in the rain and in the snow but I don’t think I’ve ever photographed in the fog before. I feel bad weather photos are some of the prettiest and unique photos there is.
