Have you used chat- GPT in blogging, or writing?

Have you tried out the AI assistant in WP? Do you think we should use it or not? Have you seen AI written posts from others?

I don’t think I would even have heard of Chat-GPT if it wasn’t for the news about college students using it to write their term papers, who, of course, got caught. I have never explored Chat-GPT myself because why would I when I have a head full of thoughts and an imagination that won’t let me rest?

Until this post, I did not know that was such thing as an AI assistant in WP. What is that?

I only know WP can do AI-generated images based on keywords. I tried that once and not only none of the pictures matched my keywords but the people in the images were half-animated, half human, which was most likely the strangest thing I will ever see of AI.

Currently, the only form of AI I use in WP is the AI generated exerpt. I don’t use it for all my posts as there seems to be a limit of how many I get in an alloted time period. I know, for the free plans, there’s only 100 excerpts allowed for the life of the blog. I don’t know about premium plans as this blog is currently on. So I only use it sparingly on flash fictions and some of my photo posts.

I think it creates a nice synopsis or summary, particularly for search engines, so readers will get a sense of what the post is about before proceeding to read it. I also use it because I suck at writing summary or summarizing anything, period. Some may call this cheating but I don’t feel it’s cheating as AI didn’t write my post, it merely summarized what I’ve written. So technically, the work is still mine.

So far, I’ve read a couple of posts written by AI. Those bloggers were purposely testing Chat-GPT to see what it can do. I even read a story written by AI based on the prompt fed by the author. Honestly, I found the story very one-dimensional and dry. Either way, I still prefer human-written work over AI.
