Sasha gulped as the operator fastened the lapbelt and instantaneously regreted the idea of riding a “grown-up” roller-coaster.
“I’m 12, not a little kid.” She pulled her classic tantrum 30 minutes before they stood in line for the “rager-coaster.”
After stomping her feet and screaming in front of a crowd of people, her dad threw up his hands. “All right, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
Now, sitting in the coaster seat, strapped in tight, Sasha wanted to raise her hand and say, “Is it too late to back out?” The coaster had begun moving. Yep, it’s too late.
(100 words)

I have had so many of those moments, where I regretted pushing the issue and ended up getting my way only to find out it wasn’t;t what I wanted after all.

Let’s just hope the “rager-coaster” doesn’t have any glitches and malfunctions. 😀

I just hope that Sasha sat on the ranger-coaster with an empty stomach.

Yeah, because from the name, it sounds like a scary ride.

Gulp. That’s what you get for pulling a sissy tantrum.

I’m glad Sasha’s name wasn’t Niagra.

Thank you, not sure I get the second part of your comment though.

There are consequences for actions…unless she ends up loving the ride. Well told!

She’s just had a big learning experience. 12 can be a horrible age, as can 13, 14, 15 ….. Who’d want to be a teenager again? Not me. Nicely portrayed here.

I think it depends on the person and the parents. I was grown up when I was 12 but other children may be different depending on the upbringing.
