What do you see #262 – Once in a Lifetime Shot

The hotel was at near full capacity. Everyone was waiting for the flowers in the field to bloom. “It’s a once in a lifetime sight.” Some proclaimed. To be honest, I’m more interested in the sunrise than a field full of flowers, though the latter does sound beautiful and with just a few words exchanged between myself and a few fellow travelers at breakfast, I was convinced to stick around.

Standing before the field now, how I wish the weather would just once cooperate, how I wish I can wave my hands to bat the clouds away, and how I wish I can warm this place up, just a little bit to get the flowers to bloom. You all are a bunch of showmen, aren’t you?

This will be the third and final night I can stay at this hotel. “I’m sorry, but we are more than completely booked,” the woman at the hotel front desk said apologetically when I inquired about extending my stay by one more night. I sure hope this will be worth it because three nights at nearly $800 a night, I would be spending nearly $3,000 on this so-called shoe-string budget trip.

The next morning, I was jolt awake by the alarm before realizing that it’s morning and I’ve slept in my previous day’s clothes. Without any thought, I peaked out the window before snatching the camera and heading outside.

Outside, the sun was at last shining. It took snapping a few pictures before I noticed the field before my eyes. Wow!
