Day 12: Taipei, Taiwan

This was our final full day in Taiwan and the last full day of the trip. Tomorrow would be the longest day ever as we will embark on a 20-some-hour journey home.

Again, we didn’t do any research prior to this trip but even if I did, I’m it would be futile. If you ever try to do research on places to go in either Taiwan or Japan, most likely, you will get a bunch of food recommendations. I don’t know how some people manage it but I can only eat so much in a day.

Anyway, this place, Yehliu Geopark never came up. I tried Youtubing and Googling it the night before and nothing. Perhaps I was entering the wrong keywords?

Now, this is my kind of place.

My mom told me beforehand that this is similar to Arches National Park, except it’s by the ocean. So we’re talking about rock erosions, caused by Mother Nature. Awesome.

The Queen’s head seemed like the most popular attraction as people were lining up to get a picture. I managed to get a few from the other side. I tried to get a photo of all of them but there were some where I just can’t see it. Perhaps it takes a little more imagination. It even took a while for me to see a dragon’s head in the rock.

Thankfully, the day was beautiful with temperatures in the 70’s and clear skies. My only complaint is the people. Way too much people for such a lovely place.
