PHOTO PROMPT © Jen Pendergast

Meanwhile, all Jen wanted was to grab her overnight backpack, go to the room, and collapse on the bed but when she made it to the car, her mother was shrieking, “help me!”

When they reached the room, her mother began moving stuff around to fit her stuff. Then, it was time to cook. Thirty minutes, two bowls of instant ramen sat piping hot on the hotel room table.
