It was New Year’s day and Teri was in bed, screaming into her pillow as images from the night before replayed in her head over and over, “stupid, stupid, stupid!” She had made a fool of herself in front of Sasha and knew returning to work the following week would probably be one of the hardest things she would have to face. Ugh, she thought, the humiliation, the embarrassment!
Just then, there was a knock on her bedroom door as Shelley poked her head into the room, “Are you okay, want to talk about it?”
Teri sighed and shook her head, “No, and you know what, I never will talk about it. That is a vow I will make right now – to never speak of the party ever again.”
Written for Six Sentence Story. The prompt is “Vow”.

Such an intriguing little tale in six sentencies… thank you!

It sounds like the promising party didn’t work out. There will be other opportunities.

Ah, yes, you start with a little tipple to loosen up, next thing you know…you are wishing a whole night away.
