Alexandra smiles as she stands in the middle of forest under an umbrella in her wedding dress. “Are you sure you don’t want to postpone this wedding for a sunnier day?” Her husband-to-be, Mark, says. He, too, is under an umbrella in his finest suit.
Alex shakes her head. “We’ve waited long enough, don’t you think? Besides, what’s a little rain on such a special day?” She looks around at the gigantic trees around her, “It adds another layer to our memories, does it not?”
Mark opens his mouth to speak but he’s interrupted by their officiant and their friend, Jason, who awkwardly clears his throat as he says in a low voice, “Mark, Alex, are you ready to be wed?”
