
Beth slammed her foot on the brakes.
“What the heck, mom?” Tracey shrieked, frantically wiping the lipsticks from her cheeks.
“This new generation clearly missing a gene.” Beth pointed at the sign, “I don’t know what this mean, do you?” As Tracey was about to speak, the car behind them let out a loud honk. Beth leaned out the window and yelled, “If you wish to go, go!”
“I can’t go if you won’t,” the driver shouted, “it’s a freaking one-lane-road, lady!”
Beth grunted a “fine” before punching the gas pedal with her foot, just as Tracey was applying mascara.
