It’s Monday and that means it’s back to work! And YES, I am excited! You would not believe how excited I am to be back at work after a boring are laborious week of studying, I am practically jumping up and down and so psych to finally have an exciting life again. Last week was so boring and just plain awful, if I was given the chance to live it again, I would not.

What was so awful about last week?

1. Monday was a holiday, throws my internal clock off balance.
2. My mom’s week off. She practically bugs me every 5 minutes either about whether or not to buy the house or to make sure I was studying. Or to rearrange my fall classes schedule yet again. If I wasn’t studying, she would give me this big lecture about throwing $250 down the drain if I failed this test.
3. Staring at the GMAT test prep book from morning to night. I feel like my brain was about to go into a meltdown if I stared at those ridiculous Math but not Math problem for a second longer.
4. The ridiculous and sudden hot weather and mom refuses to turn on the air-conditioner to “save money”. How can anyone study in a 90 degree house?!
5. No work, nothing else that is mom-prove to keep me occupied besides studying.

I cannot believe I’m about to say this but for the first time in my life, I wish mom would go to work rather than stay at home. One week off for her is just feels like a lifetime for me.

In this circumstance, I am just so glad she is NOT a patient woman. Since she cannot sit through a 30-minute studying session without browsing the web.  I honestly don’t know how she’s going to get through this test. Every time I hear rapid mouse clicking, I’d do the same thing with my typing and that seemed to have camouflaged with what I was doing.

What was I doing?

I was rewriting my novel! Stories don’t write itself and I managed to finish rewriting three chapters of my novel this past week! For an aspired writer, that’s great progress. I’m up to Chapter 7 now and I just have to think of a plot twist that’ll lead me back to the ending I want but I was surprised how much I got done. I guess the hot weather just gave me some inspiration. 😛

Now it’s Monday and my translation assignment is beginning again and there is a lot more this month. It’ll probably stretch into next month as well. For me, that is great news because that means I’m not out of work!

Gotta get back to work!
