Oh my gosh, you won’t believe how ridiculous the weather has been. And you might not believe that I’m sitting at home at 8 in the morning doing nothing except huddling around a steaming cup of hot cocoa with heart-shaped marshmallows. Yes, there’s been a change in the weather and it’s ridiculously freezing here.

In the past 3 or 4 days, the temperature went from low 90’s to upper 80’s and then yesterday, it suddenly dropped to the low 50’s and now mid 40’s! I know, right?! Even the mountains are white-capped again.

I didn’t even want to get up this morning let alone studying. I was piled under two thick blankets and I was happy. I stuck my arms out a couple times and it was beyond freezing, so I tucked it back under the blankets. The house, for the first time since the furnace was fixed in January, dropped to 62°F. I even have to dig out my winter clothes again. AGAIN! May I remind you, mother nature, that it’s almost the summer solstice?

I don’t mind a little rain but make it a summer rain, not the freezing winter rain. The weather report said it’s supposed to get better today or tomorrow but for now, it’s sitting at 43°F, so it’s back to huddling around the cocoa.
