I was woken by a nightmare this morning because I needed to get my mother’s car check up to see if any damage was done by the car accident I had last Thursday. I guess it’s just an after-affect. Still, the nightmare disrupted my almost-8 hours of sleep.
You cannot not believe how much I am in need of a break right now. So far, this week has been nothing but a torture. I’ve taken two exams and completed most of my homework. Today, I have to go check up on the car as well as volunteer at a Thanksgiving Dinner not to mention I still have to write my 4-by-6 cue card for tomorrow’s exam.
I know, this post has been nothing but a big rant. That is why I really really really cannot wait for next week to come even though I don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving. I just want those two days off before coming down with the bad case of Finals.
So what is my idea of a perfect day off? Oh, um, sleep, that’s the essential thing that makes my day off. I would wake up later than usual like 9 or 10. I would then decide what I am going to do with the rest of my day over brunch. But it all depends on the weather and my mood.
If the weather’s gloomy and blue or I don’t feel like going out, I’ll just stay in, read, write, or plug my computer into the TV through a long HDMI cord and watch movies.
If I am in the mood for outdoor activities, honestly, I don’t know where I would go, perhaps somewhere natural and beautiful. I’ve always wanted to go hiking and take scenic photographs, going a stroll on the beach of the Great Salt Lake, maybe. One place you won’t find me is the mall. I never liked shopping and probably never will. So that’s what I’d do on my perfect day off.
What’s your perfect day off?
