Ah, finally, some peace and quiet. I cannot remember the last time I had that, at least I don’t have to worry about anyone coming back or bursting into my room any minute. That’s right, my aunt and cousin are officially on a plane back to China. But not without some trouble. Oh don’t worry it’s nothing big, all I got was a lecture from my mom, no big deal.

Anyway, I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday because once again, I was working and I was very excited for their departure. Back to the trouble, for the final three days of her stay, she decided to be secretive, want me to take her to bank and transfer some money to my mom’s account. I hate to be in the middle of all this but do I have a choice?

I wanted to ask my mom first to make sure she was okay with this but my aunt was in my face all day, making sure I don’t tell. We were set to go yesterday but my mom decided to take the day off. My aunt couldn’t sneak me out of the house inconspicuously. So lucky for me, I was off the hook yesterday but today, however, I wasn’t so lucky. Since I have school, I have the car.  So, last night, while I was brushing my teeth, my aunt came up to me and whispered, “Your mom was home all day today. We couldn’t get out.”

I shrugged. “So?”

“What do we do now?” I shrugged again. “How about after school tomorrow? I’ll meet you at the bank at noon.” I shrugged once more. Frankly, I don’t even want to go. I had a bad feeling about these things.

This morning, as if I needed more confirmation, she came into my room to confirmed again our rendezvous at the bank. I was like, yes yes, I’ve got it. At 11:40 am, I got another notification from my aunt to make sure I kept my word. She texted me while I was trying to take care of my tuition. It was so so  annoying. At 12:10, I finally got to the bank and found her sitting on the couch. Our transaction went successful and I ended up dropping her nearby so we won’t look suspicious showing up at the same time.

We all went out to Golden Corral for a lunch buffet. Then it was time to go to the airport. The check-in took 30 minutes because of the confusion regarding where the luggage was going but again, all went smoothly and everyone was on their way. Before we departed though, my aunt told me to tell my mom about our transaction. So I did and that was what the lecture was all about. I must admit that this was partly my fault and I feel a little guilty now.
