It’s been snowing here for last 24 hours and it’s beginning to look more like winter. It’s been a while since we had so much snow here.
This was yesterday. There was accumulation even outside the basement window.
Here is today. It wasn’t until noon when the blue sky finally show up.
Accumulation total in my backyard: about 10″ or 25 cm
My audit final is tonight. I hope I won’t have any trouble driving to school tonight. Wish me luck!
Good luck! The snow is beautiful~ Wish I could experience at least once in my lifetime 😛

Thanks. The snow is beautiful but it also comes with super slick roads which is very dangerous. 🙂

Oops I see~ I guess I’ll be contented just staying indoors, sitting by the window and stare at the snowflakes 😛

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to go out when it’s snowing, not unless it’s absolutely necessary. I like to just sit with a cup of hot cocoa and watch the fluffy snowflakes. 🙂

And not forgetting the heater or do you have a fireplace in your home?

No, I wish but my mom is worried about the fire danger and she said we’re Chinese and Chinese people don’t use fireplace. I don’t know what’s that got to do with anything but okay.

LOL~ I guess it’s just a reason for her to not build a fireplace~

We don’t have snow here so your pictures are extra awesome! 🙂 So wintry and it looks so COLD!

It is awesome but it’s extremely cold and slippery. I like the way it looks too, just wish the school would close on a day like this.

Beautiful to look at but I’m glad we don’t have any yet 🙂

I wish to be where you are. I’m tired of having to tread super icy slippery roads.

9 1/2 inches is a lot of snow! Good luck driving to your audit class!

Yes it is. It took me forever to get back to the parking lot last night because of all the ice. Thank god there was a kind person to slowly walk me over. 🙂

That was very nice of that person to help you walk over to your car. That ice can be very slippery!

Yes, it was very kind of the person. The school somehow failed to apply salt so when night came, every drop of water on the pavement froze to ice.

I can imagine with that much snow that it would be freezing cold there! Hopefully, the school won’t forget the next time!

I sure hope so.

You might want to call the Maintenance Department of the college and tell them about the difficulty you had walking on the ice. That way if enough people call them they will be sure to remember to do it!

I should’ve done that but it’s just for one night and they were probably closed at that hour.

If it was late then they probably were closed. Do you have some shoes that you can wear if and when it is real icy? That would help.

I was wearing my snow boots but it wasn’t a match for the ice. Apparently no shoes is safe on ice, not unless you wrap a special chain around the shoe like you would for a tire. I thought about getting it but didn’t think I’d need it since weather like this doesn’t come often.

That’s too bad that even rubber soled shoes slip on the ice. Maybe you could buy some golf cleats. Haha! Just kidding!

Or maybe I should invest in those chains. 🙂

If they aren’t too expensive, that might be a good (and safe!) idea.

First of all, with snow that deep, I wouldn’t suggest you to drive Yinglan. Was there any other way to school? Bus maybe?
I love the 2nd and the 3rd pictures from the top the most. We are in summer right now in Sydney.., a very different picture here! 🙂
Keep warm!

No, the bus to school would’ve taken longer, way longer (about 3 hours) and there is no guarantee that I will get a ride home. I wish so much for summer right now. Thanks for reading. 🙂

Yey, snow! Here, we don´t get much of it anymore so I will have to take my husband to the mountains to see the “real thing” 😀 Good luck in your exam!

It’s been a couple of years since we have gotten so much snow. Thank you for reading. 🙂

The snow is really beautiful, but having to travel in it isn’t such a great experience. I live in Florida now and have for many years, but when I was in Virginia I use to walk a few blocks to the school bus and my feet were frozen by the time I got on the bus. The warmth inside the bus made my feet feel like they were melting…I expected to look down and see puddles of water in my shoes!

It’s sure beautiful to look at but driving and walking outside, not so much. Even when I’m wearing slip-proof boots, I’m still afraid of slipping.
