How many languages do you you speak?
If you count dialects, I speak four languages: English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and Zhongshan Dialect, though I’m ashamed to admit that I sometimes have difficulty understand Mandarin since I only learn it in school and don’t speak at home. My dad’s side of the family speaks a different dialect and I tried to learn it when I was young but it’s very hard. I can understand it but I can’t speak it.
What are some words that just make you smile?
I smile very easily and usually don’t need words.
If you were the original architect of one existing building, which building would you select?
This is a difficult choice. When I studied civil engineering, I used to dream about being the engineer for a well-known building but that ship has sailed after I failed the licensing exam for the third time. If I have to choose one, I would choose the leaning tower of Pisa because even though I’ve never visited, it’s well-known for its lopsidedness and I like people to imagine what was going on inside my head when they’re walking through it, like why would I construct such a weird lopsided building.
Would you rather have telepathy or telekinesis?
I would love to have the skill of telepathy. It would make communicating with people so much easier. I wouldn’t have to speak. I would just have to think. My thoughts are much more fluid than when I speak. Like my speeches, I had practice numerous times because I can speak the words fluidly and not stutter.
