This is the Spiral Jetty, located about 15 miles from the visitor center of Golden Spike National Historic site. This has been a place I have longed to visit ever since I saw a commercial on PBS two years ago. In fact, I wrote a post about it two years. Well, that wish finally came true on New Year Eve.

That’s name of the spiral in the picture. I don’t know why it’s called that.

It’s man-made by an artist in the 1970’s.

How cool! Can you walk out on it?

Yes, many people walked out. I didn’t though because I didn’t want to abandon my elderly guests. Definitely next time though. 🙂
