Beside purple or violet, blue is my favorite color.
These flowers were on the trail that day and when I saw them, I knew I must have them as a souvenir but how? It’s not like I can carry it on my hike. I mean, by the time I get home with them, they’d be wilted. So I decided I would photograph it instead.
Photographing these pretty flowers was not an easy task. First of all, the sun was shining so bright that I could barely see the camera screen and secondly, for some reason, my camera was having trouble focusing. This took several tries and thankfully, as a cool breeze started to pick up, I finally got the shot.

I couldn’t tell since I can’t zoom into the photo but those flowers looks a bit weathered but I like their blue hues.

Most of the wildflowers along the trail were a little weathered since they are dependent on nature to survive.

Hi Yinglan,
I have been preparing my posts for the A-Z and researching Van Gogh and revisiting his paintings. There are so many amazing blues. Do you like his work? There are so many that I love that I cna’t really narrow it down, although Starry Night has much appeal and is in a league of its own, I feel.

I’m not very familiar with Van Gogh’s work. The only ones I know are Starry Night, the Yellow House, and the portrait of himself. Of the three I know, Starry Night has to be my favorite.

Cafe At Night does look nice. I used to confuse this painting with Starry Night before I saw a documentary on Van Gogh a while back. 😀
