Another April gone, another A to Z Challenge done.
Overall, I am happy with my theme chosen for this year’s challenge – Wordless Photo. One photo every day for each letter of the alphabet. I chose this theme to fit my busy schedule and I thought I was wise to do so. Ever since my co-worker quit on April first, I have been taking on double-duty at work while my co-worker, who previously performed the other half of my duties, shifted to do my former co-worker’s duties.
And it’s not just work. When I’m at home, every time I attempt to relax, someone was and is calling me to help them. It’s been so incredibly overwhelming at times that I just wanted scream and yell, “Why can’t you people understand I have anxiety issues?!”
With that said, I no longer could find the time to keep up with blogging and I don’t mean the part about creating blog posts. It’s the reading part I was having trouble keeping up. The creating posts part was easy, I already had all except for a few of the letters figure out by the time the challenge started and the photos I wanted to use. Then, all I had to do was plug in the pictures.

With the hectic schedule at work and the chaotic life at home, I decided to pause blogging for a while, to take a break. The break will not be indefinite and it does not mean I am stepping away from blogging. I will still check in once in a while to read a few posts, and write a post or two but no more daily posting.
After 6 years of writing posts and participating in challenges. I think it’s time to slow down and perhaps get back to what I originally set out to do when I started this blog – write stories to satisfy my wild imagination but now, with a few photos added.
I hope you will stick around because I have a lot more stories to tell.
I sure enjoyed your A to Z photos this year!
And even more, I love your stories, so take all the time you need to do what it is you love. 🙂

I don’t know why so many people put so much pressure on themselves when it comes to blogging. It’s your blog. Do what you want. When you want. Truth be told, I’m at 8 years and it’s starting to get hard.
I’ll read you whenever you come back, assuming I’m still here. 🙂

I’m not putting pressure on myself. I just no longer have the time to pursue blogging, not when I’m working 9, 10 hours a day and spending 2 hours between commute. Maybe I’ll blog on weekends when I get through this busy period at work but until then, I simply don’t have the time.

That, by its very definition, is pressure. No time = pressure.

Well, I’ve been missing you, Yinglan. Receiving no mail notices and missing your “likes” I decided I’d better just come and see what’s going on. Lots, huh. I think several bloggers are finding less time for blogging these days. I’m not reading nearly as much as I would like, but I stay up pretty well at two or three reads per week, but can’t make it daily anymore. Wish you while you catch up on “life” a bit. I intend to be around. 😀

I’ve missed being on here too. I’m definitely catching up on life but mostly, I’ve been catching up on reading and TV shows. 😂 Anyway, I’m planning on coming back hopefully next week but I intend to come back sooner or later.
