In your opinion, do May/December (older partner with much younger partner) romances ever work?
How much younger? I would imagine anywhere up to a 5-year age gap should work, beyond that just seems a little creepy, in my opinion. Then again, what would I know? I’ve never dated and the only romance I’ve had was a secret crush on a guy I’ve known since middle school.
What physical action or gesture do you find romantic?
Some people thinks the noodle-sharing scene in Lady and the Tramp is romantic. I think it’s kinda gross. How do you know where the other person’s mouth had been? The only two physical gestures I think it’s romantic are getting down on one knee and letting the girl step on the guy’s shoe while he leads her in a slow dance.

What is your idea of a romantic dinner?
Nothing fancy, just so long is edible, non-combustible, and nothing gross like crickets, squirrels, or snails.
Is ‘love’ a real ‘thing’ or merely a physical chemical response and brain activity pulling our emotional strings?
The latter. I’ve been told our body is a very sophisticated system that knows how to maintain itself. For example, it will tell us when we’re hungry and it will find ways to cool us down when we are hot. So it isn’t that far-fetched to believe love is just another physical chemical response.
How do you show your loved ones that you love them?
A hug and/or a peck on the cheek will always do the trick.
Thanks, Yinglan for Sharing Your World! Personally, I think the ‘secret crush’ is maybe the most perfect thing…we can indulge our feelings privately, and never have them crushed nor our expectations dashed. But if the fantasy turns to reality, it’s very satisfying too, even if it is rare! I’ve never heard of a romantic meal including any of the ‘foods’ you mention, but to each their own I suppose. I know that ‘squirrel’ would put me off the man, permanently. And the other two? No thanks, they could have my share! Have a great week!

I agree though the down side to that is I’ll never know how the other person feels.
I heard people in the Appalachia region is big on eating squirrels though I’ve never heard of one eating it as a romantic meal. It’s definitely a turn-off for me if someone served me that. Hope you’re having a great week.
