This week on Blogging insights – hosted by Tanya at Salted Caramel – asks:
Do real life events and real people inspire your blog posts, and how?

Of course, it does.
There are 2 main categories on this blog – fiction and non-fiction. I try to state it as clear as I can. My flash fictions are always inspired by either real life events, my current emotional state, or by the TV shows I watch. I almost never research the material for my fiction blog posts and hope I never will have to because I honestly loath research.
My non-fiction pieces are always inspired by real life events since this blog has been acting as my journal these past few years. I write stuff here so I can remember it in the future, probably when I’m old and demented.
All in all, yeah, 100% of my posts are inspired by real life events and people.
You are right. Real life has so much for us, the writers. 🙂

I too take inspiration from real people. It’s my way of adding a bit of spice and realism to my stories, both fiction and non fiction. Anyway, thanks for this post!

Thank you for reading. I agree, a bit of realism can sometimes be the secret to spice a story. 🙂
