I shot this photo on my hike last weekend.
Mother Nature sure did a number on this trail in 2020 with multiple wind events and who knows what else. This tree did not look like this when I hiked this trail last fall, its stump was jagged and I remember having to had climb over the giant, careful not to get myself splinters in the process. It must had taken a large team to clean up this mess and move this tree to the side.

Such scenes always makes me wonder about the life of fallen, whether it’s a tree or something else.
