What is the scariest game (board or on-line) you ever may have played?

I used to play quite a bit online games since I have no one to play with in real life. When my step dad was around, we would play Monopoly or The Game of Life each weekend. It was part of our father-daughter bonding time and it was about the only time when they wasn’t any argument because mom would be asleep.

After my mom and I moved to Utah, it’s just been me with no one to play board game with. So I turned to online. I don’t think I’ve played anything scary though, it’s mostly been puzzles – find hidden objects sort of thing – or survival games. The most scary part of those games had to be the introduction.

Most began with, “it was a dark and stormy night…”

What’s just ‘over the rainbow” for you?

I’d like to think something good is just over the rainbow like I finally get the alone time I want or mom finally moves out of my house and go live in hers. Now, getting there will be a challenge.

Do you have to watch something upbeat after watching a suspense or horror movie so you can go to sleep?

I used to absolutely have to watch something funny after watching a scary movie but that’s only necessary if the movie was watched in the dark. I find if I watch a scary movie in the light of day, the horrifying bits don’t leave as big of an impression on me as when I watch it in the dark.

For some reason though, this kind of movies don’t really affect me anymore.

Is there intent behind every action?

I’d like to think so and I’d also like to think action include speaking. Unfortunately, I often find myself over-analyzing each action that I would sometimes forget the intent.

  1. Thanks, Yinglan, for Sharing Your World. It is a bit odd that a lot of the on-line games of the variety you’re describing, do start with some ominous music, or a graphic that is dark. I like those games too! I spend too much $$ on them though and have begun to go back and reactive ones I’ve already purchased and re-play them. I hope you find success in the changes you are striving to make in your life! Have a great week!
