I swear, my flowers make me fall in love with my garden just a little more each day. Just imagine looking out the front room window and find these blooming right outside. I was incredibly surprised how this tiny rose bush bloomed this year. It was planted fall of 2021. It bloomed last year but nothing compare to this year.
It’s like looking at a giant bouquet!
I am also loving how my GreenStalk Tower is doing this year. It’s in its third season and I feel like I’m still getting the hang of it, discovering what can and cannot grow in there due to space constraints I’m loving how full of life it is. It makes me so happy just looking at it, admiring all the colors and the coexistence of the plants in this small space.

I don’t know how or when I became addicted to flowers – looking at them, growing them, and learning about them – because I don’t ever remember being interested in them during the freshman or sophomore years of college nor before then.
I think it was perhaps after taking my first flower photo that I saw just how beautiful a flower is on and off the lens. Then, maybe it was after I woke up and recognized I was suffering from constant emotional torture that I sort of turned to nature and flowers for comfort because being in nature somehow made me feel safe and happy.
Mom said I went overboard with flowers this year, making her hay fever worse, her immune system decline, and her shingle virus reappear. She is also saying my declining health was brought on by my garden.
How she came up with that idea? Beats me.
First of all, my health isn’t declining. Sure, I have my problems but that started way before I started my garden and it’s been stable for the last couple of years.
Secondly, flowers don’t cause virus to re-surface. I’m sure she’s just looking for someone to blame for her sufferings. In fact, I’m pretty sure she will be the one to prove Buddha wrong about this quote.

Your mom is quite a character! Who complains about flowers?! Good job, Ms. Green Thumb 🌹

I agree with Paula, LOL. She would make a great invisible character in a TV series. I love your pink flowers. You’ve got a knack both in growing and photography.

Thank you, I guess my black thumbs is turning into a brown thumbs. 😀 Perhaps, my brown thumbs will turn into a pair of green thumbs soon.

I would have to disagree with your mom…lol. I would find it hard to keep a straight face if I was in the room as she said that…if anything flowers bring joy…I do get that some people can’t be around them, but I think most people enjoy them immensley and they actually help our immune systems. Enjoyed your quotes as well.

I’d bet only she can be a grump about flowers. I love my flowers, they bring nothing but joy to this life.
