Sunday Poser #139 – Predictive Text

Is it predictive text or AI that we use while writing on our devices?

What do you think? Does your predictive text drives you crazy like it does me? And do you use autocorrect and predictive text on your device?

The only time I use predictive text is in my work email or when I’m using the search engine on my phone. I don’t really type much with my phone as I prefer a physical keyboard over a virtual one. I don’t even think I have autocorrect turned on because it never corrected me, ever.

I actually like predictive text because it helps me to write my work emails much quicker since I don’t have to type so many words. I must admit, though, sometimes, predictive text is annoying because if I accidentally pressed tab on the wrong word or phrase, I would have to go back and re-write the entire sentence.

As for blogging, I never use any form of AI and am never planning to because unlike work emails, when I’m writing blogging, I write based on the flow of my thoughts, which is something AI can’t predict. It get quite disruptive when I have something or someone trying to guess my thoughts. That’s all I have to say about this topic.

  1. I don’t like predictive reacting, I usually just type out the whole word myself because it usually defaults to the plural…lol. I do like a keyboard as well but my phone is always handy so some of my blogging is done from my phones.
