Jasper stopped in his tracks and stared up at me, whimpering, as the lightning flashed across the sky followed shortly by a booming clap of thunder.
“You were always a wimp, aren’t you?” I picked him up. “Don’t you worry, nothing will hurt you.” I kissed the top of my precious mutt’s head and gazed up at the sky. “Looks like a storm’s coming, we better find shelter.”
I’ve never mind a little rain but lately, that little rain had become torrential, the kind that makes you feel like you’re trapped between walls of water. The world’s changing, isn’t it?
