Please Note: this is 100% fiction.
“Holy cow, it’s like my dream came true.”
“It’s yours if you want it.” Kayla smiles.
I raised my brow, “At what cost?”
Kayla shrugs. “I don’t know, dirt cheap, I suppose. My aunt left me the place and I’ve never cared for this sort of artsy-craft thing.”
Instantaneously, images of me using this space as my art studio comes flashing in my head. I can create my own yarn here. I can even dye it to the color I want. So many possibilities. But how much is dirt cheap? “All right, give me a figure and I’ll consider it.”

I like the enthusiasm, perhaps she is too suspicious. Kayla is being generous and just wants the place out of her hands – quickly.

Thanks, she’s definitely skeptical about the place.

Pays to be careful. Yarn shops need to be carefully located where there is a good supply of knitters, or they don’t last long. Sad to see something like this close.

I don’t think the friend wanted the shop anyway, it was just something that was handed to her.

This is where she needs to play her cards close to her chest. No good revealing straight away how much she wants the place. Nice dialogue and glimpse into the MC’s thinking.

I agree, don’t look too eager and just go with the flow.
